Grove City Shed Fire Causes $250-$300K in Damages
MEEKER COUNTY - A shed fire at a Grove City business caused $250,000-$300,000 in damages.
Fire departments responded just after 1:00 p.m. in the 56100 block of U.S. Highway 12 for a fire at D and D Ventures.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says the fire was in a wood shavings storage shed. It's believed a broken bearing on a conveyor that was used to load wood shavings into trucks started the fire.
The business owner, Dale Hoerchler, says the fire created between $250,000 and $300,000 in damages.
Fire departments from Grove City, Atwater, Litchfield and Eden Valley responded to the blaze.
