BEMIDJI (AP) - Bemidji police say investigators have uncovered evidence to suggest foul play is involved in the disappearance of an area woman.

Thirty-one-year-old Rose Downwind was last seen leaving a Bemidji residence on Oct. 21.

Police Chief Mike Mastin says two men have been identified as "persons of interest" in the case. Mastin said in a statement Thursday that the investigation is focused on an area north of Bemidji. The area includes Lake Bemidji State Park and the Buena Vista State Forest.

Authorities are asking property owners in the area to check structures and acreage for anything suspicious.

Police also want to hear from anyone who may have seen the persons of interest, or a pewter-colored 2002 GMC Yukon with Minnesota plates, sometime between Oct. 19 and Oct. 29.
