ST. PAUL (AP) - A former Atlanta judge best known for her syndicated TV show is representing the family of Philando Castile, a black driver who was shot dead by a police officer in a Twin Cities suburb.

Glenda Hatchett was star of the show "Judge Hatchett." She started her own law firm in 2014, and vowed Tuesday that she'd take legal action on behalf of Castile's family.

The 32-year-old Castile was shot last week during a traffic stop in the St. Paul suburb of Falcon Heights.

The aftermath of the July 6 shooting by St. Anthony officer Jeronimo Yanez was streamed live on Facebook by Castile's girlfriend.

Hatchett says Castile was profiled because of his race. She says she'll closely monitor the criminal investigation and wants a special prosecutor to handle the case.
