COLLEGEVILLE - Longtime NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw is in town tonight (Tuesday).  Brokaw is speaking at St. John's University during their Sixth Annual Eugene J. McCarthy lecture series.

The speech starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Saint John's Abbey and University Church.  It is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required to attend.  You can reserve a seat by calling 363-5777.

Brokaw spent his entire career with NBC News beginning in 1966.  He anchored the NBC Nightly News from 1982 through 2004.  In 1998 he published his first book, The Greatest Generation.  He has since written five other books.
