FOREST CITY -- The Forest City community is celebrating its history tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday with its 33rd Annual Forest City Stockade Rendezvous.

The stockade is a recreation of a fort that was built in the 1860s at the start of the Dakota War.

Festivities include live music, kids activities, wagon rides and plenty of food.

The Forest City Stockade is located 6 miles northeast of Litchfield on Highway 24. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. kids 12 and under get in for free, adult admission is $5.
