LITTLE FALLS - Deputies followed footprints in the snow to track down a man allegedly involved in a burglary in rural Morrison County. The Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Brandon Middendorf of Pierz broke into a home on Highway 27 between Little Falls and Pierz.

Monday just before 11:30 a.m. the homeowner called the Sheriff's Office and said several items were missing from their house. Deputies followed footprints in the snow leading to another home. After talking to Middendorf at that home, deputies allegedly found evidence linking him to the burglary.

They also say several of the missing items were found at two different pawn shops here in St. Cloud.

Middendorf admitted to his involvement during questioning. He's awaiting formal charges.
