Foley Man Sentenced In Morrison County After Pleading Guilty To Check Forgery

LITTLE FALLS - A Foley man has been sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to Felony Check Forgery.

Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf says in February of this year 35-year-old Shane Kristiansen cashed a check at the Merchants State Pank in Pierz, which he stole from a mailbox.

The check was made out to Verizon, which Kristiansen admitted to altering.

He has been ordered to pay restitution in the amount of just over $320, along with the 21 month prison sentence.
