FOLEY - The Foley City Council officially made Katie Lang their police chief tonight (Tuesday).

Lang has been interim chief of police since former chief Brant Standridge was relived of his duties on May 9th, due to personality conflicts and procedural concerns.

The Council all approved of Lang's previous experience, and after a short discussion, officially made her police chief of Foley permanently.

Lang has previously worked with the Benton County Sheriff's Office as a road deputy, and jailer for three years.
