FOLEY --  A Foley housing development is looking to better accommodate the demand for the market.

Foley has been looking at ways to grow the city to make it a destination for new businesses and residents.

Kampa Meadows is looking to convert 6 twin home lots into 3 single family lots to make the lots more marketable and help them sell.

During tonight's council meeting the board reviewed the application request and discussed options on how to best utilize the vacant lots.

The council felt the application request for the home style change would be best for the community and has already been approved by the planning commission.

However talks are still in the early stages.

A public hearing would still need to take place to hear feedback from the residents in the area.

The city would also need to figure out the cost for the project, the potential impact and how the development would be paid for.

The council decided to table the matter until next months council meeting which is when the hearing will take place.
