July 1, 1919 - March 14, 2016

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Florence M. Rademacher, age 96, of Eden Valley, who passed away on Monday at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Rev. Robert Rolfes will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Assumption Christian Women will pray at p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Florence was born on July 1, 1919 to Frank and Mary (Stein) Theis in Eden Lake Township. She married Aloys Rademacher on Feb. 20, 1946 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. The couple lived in St. Joseph for 17 years, where they worked in commercial cleaning. Later, they farmed in Eden Lake Township for 15 years. Florence also worked at Animal Fair and the Valley Rest Home. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, Christian Mothers, St. Mary’s Society, C.A.A., Mother Teresa Mission Group, and The Society of the Divine Word. Florence enjoyed the Minnesota Twins, old time music and dancing, quilting, and baking bread. She was a gentle, humble, caring and kind person.

Florence is survived by her sons, Mark of Palm Springs, CA, James (JoAnn) of Eden Valley; grandchildren, Julie (Jeff) Wendroth, Jill (Troy) Sogge, and Justin (Kim); great grandchildren, Andrea, Tyler, Lindsey, Ethan, Jordan, and Levi; siblings, Sr. Marie Theis, O.S.F of St. Cloud, Rose Ann Kerzman of Bismarck, ND, Francis Theis of Eden Valley, and Marion Nohner of Grey Eagle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aloys; granddaughter, Janelle Reetz; and siblings, Margaret Kerzman, Lawrence and Sylvester Theis.
