Florence H. Dahl, 95, Clearwater

October 27, 1920 - May 13, 2016

A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker for Florence H. Dahl, 95, of Clearwater who died Friday, May 13 at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home in Becker.

Florence was born on October 27, 1920 in Tolna, North Dakota to Raymond and Selma (Messner) Schiller. She attended Mayville State University in North Dakota where she received her teaching degree in 1938. Florence married Herbert Dahl on June 2, 1941 in Moorhead. She was the matriarch of her family and encouraged her children and extended family to further their education following high school graduation. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the timeshare in Detroit Lakes where many competitive Pinochle games were played. Florence enjoyed bowling with her Maddock friends, senior dances, trips to the casino and social events. She believed that 100% prune juice helped cure many ailments. Florence was kind hearted, generous, strong willed, selfless and regal. Most importantly, family meant the world to her and she enjoyed bragging about all of her beautiful family members. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Judeen (Don) Faleide of Fergus Falls, Doris Rae Dahl of Clearwater and Robert (Donna) Dahl of Clarksburg, WV; grandchildren, Nicole Wear, Alissa (Brian) Flynn, Sara (Rick) Harig, Gregory Dahl; great grandchildren, Trista Harig, Ricky Harig, Kyra Flynn, Keegan Flynn, Grace Wear; and long- time companion, George Yetzer of Monticello.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; and brother, Ralph Schiller.
