ST. CLOUD - After several inches of rain over the past 48 hours, the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Sauk River in St. Cloud.

The flood warning was issued on Saturday evening and will contiune until further notice.

About 1 to 4 inches of rain has fallen in the St. Cloud area over the past couple of days. Any added rain can cause river levels to rise even higher than already predicted.

At 9:25 a.m. on Sunday the river stage was at 5.9 feet, the flood stage is 6 feet. By Thursday night, the river will rise to near 6.3 feet.

Very low roadways and some homes from Richmond to St. Cloud may be impacted by flooding.
