First Half of 2014 Now Wettest in St. Cloud History

ST. CLOUD – St. Cloud set a new record this weekend thanks to rain on Friday, 2014 is now the wettest first half of the year on record.

According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, St. Cloud had 22.50 inches of rainfall this year after rain on Friday.

This is now the wettest first 6 months in St. Cloud history. The old record was 22.11 inches, set in 1920.

St. Cloud has also broken the record for the most April-June rainfall with 18.73 inches of rain falling in those months alone.

There’s a possibility for scattered thunderstorms in St. Cloud on Sunday. Rain is also possible from Monday night through Wednesday.
