ST. CLOUD -- The Stearns History Museum brings history to life at Northstar Cemetery with the first ever Historic Cemetery Crawls.

Crawlers will have a chance to tour the cemetery and meet historical St. Cloud figures along the way such as Alice and Albert Whitney, John L. Wilson, and Jacob Brower.

These historians were chosen based on their footprints they made on St. Cloud.

Debi Pack is the Education Director for the Stearns History Museum. She says the idea came after the success of their Historic Pub Crawls.

"We had a lot of interest with our historic pub crawls and I thought this would be a nice way to follow that."

The crawl takes about an hour and along the way you will hear the stories of four historic characters.

"As people come to the site where they are buried, these guys will come to life and tell about their lives."

John L. Wilson is know as the "Father of St. Cloud," Brower served as a Representative of the MN Legislature, and Albert Whitney created a monopoly of industry in the area.

After the crawl, participants are invited to the Stearns History Museum for coffee and dessert, and ask questions to the historic figures.

The museum will hold one more crawl on Saturday, October 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
