Fire Destroys Business In Rural Meeker County

WATKINS - A fire caused nearly $300,000 in damage to a shed in Meeker County.

The Sheriff's Office says the shed fire was reported at about 10:15 p.m. last (Sunday) night in Forest Prairie Township near Watkins.

The owner 58-year-old Virl Liebrenz discovered the fire.

The shed was used as a mechanic and auto body shop.

Nobody was hurt.

The cause of the fire is not known, and it remains under investigation.
