Fire Damaged Perkins Remains Closed, Owner Vows To Reopen As Soon As Possible

ST. CLOUD - The Perkins restaurant and Bakery on the west side of St. Cloud remains closed, several days after a fire damaged the building.

Owner Dave Hanson says they're working as quickly as they can to get the restaurant open again. He says his main goal is to get the 75 employees there working again.

Hanson says right now they're just waiting on city officials to give them the okay. He says they've got contractors line-up to do the repair work, as soon as they're allowed to start.

The St. Cloud Fire Department says the fire started at the Perkins at 30 Park Avenue South on Monday night in the cooking hood and went into the duct system.
