Fire at Grede Foundries Overnight

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Fire Department was called to Grede Foundries overnight.

Fire Chief Bill Mund says a fire started in the duct work attached to a cooling room.  He described as similar to a chimney fire.  Mund says they kept the fire isolated and let it burn itself out.

Grede Foundries had to be shut down overnight.

The damage estimate is about $50,000.
No one was hurt.
