ST. CLOUD - It's been 12 years in the making, and next week the expansion of the former St. Cloud Civic Center will be complete.  A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new River's Edge Convention Center is set for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says they've added some much-needed space.

Kleis says you'll also notice a two-story art wall created by the Paramount Arts District.

While the building itself is nearly complete, city leaders will still be asking the state legislature next year to provide some bonding money to build a connecting parking ramp to the facility.
