BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) - It took police and mall security more than an hour to bringing a moving melee involving scores of juveniles under control at the Mall of America, which was packed with shoppers on the day after Christmas.

Mall spokeswoman Bridget Jewell tells the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/vTaYKd) that the incident began as a fight involving a large group in a food court about 4:20 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses told the newspaper that after the first fight, scores of young people swarmed through the mall. Some of them grabbed items from shoppers and kiosks. Police brought it under control about 5:30 p.m.

Mall officials say there were no lockdowns, no one was hurt and no weapons were involved. However, some stores did close their internal entrances to the mall during the incident.
