ST. CLOUD - A new children's boutique has opened in downtown St. Cloud.

Fiddlestix Children's Boutique has moved into suite 109 in the Regency Building, directly across the street from the Paramount Theatre. Patrice Smith is the owner of Fiddlestix and says opening a shop downtown has always been something she's wanted to do.

"I've dreamed about doing something in downtown St. Cloud. I just really like the atmosphere, there's a nice energy when it's busy. I've always been a shopper downtown and frequent events, it's really the look and feel that I wanted for my business."

Smith says she's noticed a lack of places available for people to buy unique clothing for their kids.

"I used to head down to the cities to do a lot of the shopping for my daughter because when it came to holidays, birthdays or anything special, I had a hard time finding something different."

Clothing in the store is considered limited edition. Items are cut and made to order.

"There's some very unique pieces and I like that feeling and aspect but I don't pretend to be exclusive. It's really going to be that place to go when you want to find something different or a gift," Smith says.

Fiddlestix will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. You can find it at 912 West St. Germain Street in St. Cloud.
