Fatal Shooting of Teen Apparently Accidental
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Police say the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy in Minneapolis was apparently an accident.
Authorities say Brandon Wren was shot by a younger male relative on Sunday about 11 p.m. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says Wren died of a gunshot wound to the neck. The death is classified as a homicide, but police say the shooting was accidental.
Wren was a ninth-grader at Patrick Henry High School. Relatives say it's the second tragedy the family has been dealing with recently. Wren's 28-year-old sister died of cancer and was buried a day before the shooting.
