Fatal Hit-And-Run At Interstate Rest Stop
MAHTOWA TOWNSHIP (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol says a Duluth man is under arrest for a hit-and-run death at an interstate rest stop.
The patrol says a 62-year-old Cloquet man was walking in the Mahtowa rest area along Interstate 35 Wednesday evening when a Ford pickup struck and killed him.
Authorities say witnesses saw the truck leaving the scene. The 55-year-old suspect was taken into custody after fleeing from officers.
