Fatal Crash On I-94 Near St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD -- Icy roads are to blame for a fatal crash on Interstate 94 in Stearns County.

The State Patrol says the crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) at the Highway 15 exit.

62-year-old John Kalas of Bloomington lost control of the pick-up he was driving when it spun-out hitting a wall, and then was struck by a truck.

Kalas was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle was 46 year-old Jodie Ashley of Montana.  She was not hurt.
