CARLTON (AP) - Sheriff's officials in Minnesota say they've arrested a man who's a suspect in an arson death and an assault in Michigan.

The Minnesota State Patrol tried stopping a speeding truck with federal license plates in northeastern Minnesota Monday. Authorities say the truck crossed the median on Interstate 35 in Carlton County and headed the wrong way.

The truck was spotted a short time later near Moose Lake and sped into the city, swerved in and out of traffic. The man was eventually arrested about 10 miles away.

Officials say the 46-year-old man is a suspect in a fatal Midland County, Michigan house fire and an assault. Sheriff's investigators say the truck was stolen from St. Croix County, Wisconsin, and was owned by the Corps of Engineers.
