Farm Near Hutchinson Searched For Missing Man

HUTCHINSON (AP) - State and local authorities have focused their investigation on a farm in McLeod County in their search for a man missing since August.

The farm southwest of Hutchinson is near the home of a man charged with kidnapping 25-year-old Christopher Rossing of Albion Township. Officers from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as well as deputies from McLeod and Wright counties searched the farm for about six hours Monday.

Authorities say Robert Nuttall had a physical fight with Rossing along a highway in Howard Lake Aug. 23 after the two were drinking. Nuttall and Gwen Butcher are charged in Rossing's disappearance.

Sheriff's officials are asking farmers, hunters and others to look for anything that might help them solve the case.
