Fargo District Judge Refuses Temporary Release for Stabbing Suspect’s Brother

FARGO -- A district judge in Fargo has refused to temporarily release from jail the brother of the man accused in a stabbing rampage in St. Cloud over the weekend.

The brother of Dahir Adan wanted to be released from the Cass County Jail to attend his brother's funeral.

Adan's brother is in jail on drug charges stemming from a traffic stop in June. The judge was told by prosecutors that the brother might be arrested by federal immigration agents should he be released.

Adan was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer Saturday night after he stabbed 10 people at Crossroads Center.
