Steven Wright

ST. CLOUD – The Salvation Army in St. Cloud has been helping families, since the extended power outage that started a week ago.  They say more than 120 families requested emergency food assistance, due to the power outage.

In addition, the Salvation Army says they also lost of the the food in their own walk-in cooler.

Even before the power outage, the Salvation Army in St. Cloud had experienced a 25 percent increase in food requests and meals served in the first five months of this year.
