Families Prepare To Stay Home If State Parks Close [AUDIO]
UNDATED – You’ll have to put your next trip to a state park on hold, if the state government shuts down on Friday. All 66 of the state parks and six recreation areas will have to close.
Lisa Zahn of St. Cloud says her family enjoys camping at the state parks, and it will be a big disappointment if they’re not open.
The Department of Natural Resources says campers who have already reserved a site will be refunded their money, if they’re affected by a shutdown.
It will cost the DNR about $1 million in lost revenue each week.
