MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - An SUV owned by a former Minnesota Vikings player has been linked to a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian.

Police say they haven't determined who was driving.

Joe Senser's attorney confirms Senser owns the Mercedes SUV investigators think was involved in an Aug. 23 crash in Minneapolis that killed 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong of Roseville, Minn.

State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske says the patrol met this week with Senser and a family member, but they declined to answer questions about the crash. Roeske says no one has been arrested or ruled out as a suspect.

Officials say Phanthavong ran out of gas and was hit while walking an exit ramp.

Senser was a tight end for the Vikings in the 1980s. He owns Joe Senser's Restaurant and Sports Theater.
