MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A former Minneapolis police officer has been sentenced to a year in the Hennepin County workhouse for sending nude photographs of himself to two teenage girls.

Thirty-three-year-old Bradley Schnickel pleaded guilty in July to two felony counts involving two girls under 16. The sentence was arranged when he pleaded guilty.

Schnickel also faces 14 charges in Anoka County for allegedly using social media to try to lure girls into sexual encounters.

His trial there is scheduled for February. Schnickel was fired from the Minneapolis Police Department in February 2013. Reports say he didn't appeal his dismissal.
