St. Cloud Downtown Council’s 18th Annual Winter Night and Lights Parade
With Free Concert and Carnival brought to you by Capital One
St. Cloud Downtown Council (DTC) announces the 18th Annual Winter Night and Lights Parade with Free Concert and Carnival brought to you by Capital One!
We will be celebrating with a three day festival that will kick off with the City of St. Cloud’s Weihnachtsmarkt, German-inspired outdoor holiday market, which will be set up Thursday, December 6th from 5-8 PM at the Historic 5th Ave River’s Edge Convention Center.
On Friday, December 7th at 3 PM in the Lady Slipper Lot near Capital One, meet Professional Musher Darcy Stanley-Nord and her team of racing Alaskan Huskies who will be providing the public with the opportunity to Meet the Musher, see the dogs, learn about the sport and view authentic racing sleds. From 4 PM to 9 PM Carnival Rides sponsored by Capital One will be available free of charge in the Lady Slipper Lot across from Capital One. There will be a carousel and other rides available free to kids and parents, alike!
At 7 PM, Capital One has sponsored a FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT! Join us at the River’s Edge Convention Center for the Brat Pack Radio Winter Concert and warm up after the carnival!
Saturday, December 8th, Carnival Rides will be available for kids and adults, alike, to ride for free, sponsored by Capital One, from Noon until 9 PM, with a short break from 5-6:30 during the parade.
Capital One is offering a Hot Cocoa Bar from 1-5 PM Saturday afternoon, as well. There will be games and prizes, as well as a space to warm up!
The City of St. Cloud’s Park and Recreation Department has a Winter Wonderland to enjoy from 1-4 PM. Santa and Mrs. Claus have taken time off from their busy schedule to join you and your family for a winter celebration on Saturday, at the Lake George Municipal Complex. Create arts and crafts, decorate a cookie, see the reindeer exhibit, enjoy a hayride around the lake and much more, but don’t forget your camera to capture special moments with Santa! The big trucks will be rolling in again this year for Touch-a-Truck, where children can see, touch and safely explore their favorite big trucks and heavy machinery. $3.00 per child or $5.00 per family; bring an item for the food shelf to receive $1.00 off admission
The 18th Annual Winter Nights and Lights Parade will begin at 5 PM, Saturday, December 8th.
