The Southeast St. Cloud Neighborhood Preservation Coalition will hold its 7th annual meeting on Monday, October 26th.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Bonn Great Room at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud.

Some of the topics discussed will include the National Register of Historic Places and the benefits of National Register listing with Denis Gardner, National Register historian for the State of Minnesota.

Among Southeast St. Cloud's National Register-eligible sites are some of St. Cloud's most popular locations, including Riverside Park and Munsinger Gardens, Kilian Boulevard, Selke Field, East St. Cloud Quarries Historic District and George W. Friedrich Park.

There will also be discussions about St. Cloud's heritage preservation ordinance and local historic district designation from Mark Muniz, professor of Anthropology and director of the Cultural Resource Management program at St. Cloud State University.

Erin Hanafin Berg, preservation support services manager for Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, will discuss the integral role cultural and historic sites play in the health and vitality of a community.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
