The Monticello Nuclear Power Plant will host an open house on Thursday, October 2nd.
The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the plant's training center. All members of the community are welcome to come and learn more about nuclear power, electricity, safety and science.
There will be plant representatives on hand to discuss operations, safety and security. In addition, children will be able to learn to build a magnet, which they can bring home with them.
Food and beverages will be served.
