Graniteman Half Marathon & Granite Kids Fun Run

Lace up your shoes and get ready to race! The Graniteman Half Marathon events will include the the USATF certified Graniteman Half Marathon, 5k & 10k courses, and the Granite Kids Fun Runs.

First up is the Kids Fun Run on Friday, September 7th. This run is a part of the 2012 BLEND FIT Kid Series and is open to kids ages 3 to 14. The first 200 participants will receive a Granite Kids t-shirt.  All participants will receive a race bag, participation medal and will be eligible for the other great prizes that are associated with the Blend Fit Kid Series.

Race Info: Registration and packet pick-up is also starts at the same time and ends at 6 p.m. Line-up for the kids fun run is at 6:30 starting off with the 1k. How far the kids run is based on their age.  Ages three to five is a half mile, six to eight is three-fourths of a mile, and kids from nine-thirteen is one mile. An awards presentation along with prizes and drawings will be held at 7:30 p.m.

The Graniteman Half Marathon is 13.1 miles, the 5k is 3.1 miles and the 10k is 6.2 miles. You will run through rural Sauk Rapids, residential, commercial and country areas, along smoothly paved roads that offer both fast flats and rolling hills.

Race Info: Registration and packet pick-up is at 6-8 a.m. The half marathon starts at 8:00 a.m. The 5K and 10K start at 8:15 a.m.

North Crest Kids Activity Center will have its staff on hand Saturday, September 8th  to supervise your kids while you race!  Your kids can play indoors on trampolines, foam pits, slides, ropes, watch movies, and more or outside on our secure outdoor playground area.  All of this fun for only $5 per kid!  Show up the morning of or pre-register at northcrestgym.com.
