LITTLE FALLS, MINN. – JANUARY 29, 2018 – Central Minnesota’s farmers and local food ambassadors are invited to the Sustainable Farming Association’s Central Chapter Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 24, 2018 beginning at 8 a.m. with a breakfast social in the Sprout kitchens and then a meeting in the Sprout Classroom 9-10:30. Sprout is located at 609 13th Ave NE, Door 8, Little Falls, in the old Crestliner warehouse.

All are welcome. Please register in advance here. Find the Facebook event here.

The meeting will recap 2017, preview event plans for 2018, provide an update from the Salsa Fest Committee, lay out strategic goals for the chapter, and hold the annual board elections.

Attendance is free for SFA members (current or those who renew at the meeting), and $30 for non-members.

“The annual meeting is a family-friendly event that brings informal farmer-to-farmer and farmer-to-consumer networking to our Central Minnesota family farms,” said Jim Chamberlin, SFA Board Member from Deerwood, Minnesota.

After the meeting, the Sprout Growers & Makers Marketplace will be open that day 10-3, drawing over 30 vendors and 300+ shoppers, and showcasing a cooking demonstration and musical performance that spotlights the cuisine and art of our Latino neighbors. Meeting attendees are encouraged to participate and shop after the SFA meeting adjourns at 10:30 a.m.
