Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Evelyn Ann Brinkman who died Sunday at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. The Rev. Anthony Oelrich will officiate. Burial will be on Monday at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery near Little Falls. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 AM – 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Evelyn was born in Millerville to Jacob & Grace Theresia (Hagedorn) Thoennes. She grew up in Millerville and moved to St. Cloud to go to nursing school. She met and fell in love with Wayne Brinkman, they were married on September 26, 1950 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked as a nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital for 38 years, most in post-partum care. Evie loved to golf and travel. She and Wayne visited all of the U.S. states & provinces of Canada as well as many places in Europe. She was a collector, some of her favorites included, angels, snow villages and beanie babies. She enjoyed spending time on the lake fishing and simply just watching the lake. Her family was very important to her, she loved her family especially her granddaughters. She was a strong woman who had lots of spunk.

Survivors include her husband Wayne of St. Cloud; son, David (Debra) of St. Cloud; granddaughters, Calinda (Derik) Wright of St. Cloud; Solana Brinkman of St. Louis Park; and great grandchildren, Josiah and Delilah Wright.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister, Raymond Thoennes, Lorraine Cousins and Victor Thoennes.
