Ernest S. Holtzclaw, 83, of Sebeka, MN was called home to be with GOD on Saturday, August 24, 2014 at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, MN. Services for Ernest will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Staples Alliance Church in Staples, MN with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Staples, MN.

Ernest was born on July 10, 1931 in Eagle Lake, Florida to Ernest and Arrie (King) Holtzclaw Sr. He always had a smile on his face and was full of jokes. Ernest loved spending time taking care of his family and he would never let you down. He married Minnie Grey on December 10, 1961 in Gordonville, FL. Ernest lived life to the fullest.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Minnie; daughter, Bertha Wilkes; son –in-law, Tom Wilkes; grandchildren, Ida Wilkes, Angela Wilkes, Diana Wilkes, Patricia Wilkes, Pamela Wilkes, JW Wilkes, Alice Jones, Jennifer Jones, and Jerome Jones; twelve great-grandsons; four great-great-grandsons; three great-great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; long time friends, Roger and Tracy, Judy and Gilbert, and Patty and David. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
