Erik Gordon Formo, 23, Chisholm

Erik Gordon Formo passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Chisholm, MN. Services for Erik are set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Daniel Funeral Home of St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home of St. Cloud.

He was born on March 25, 1992 to Michael and Kathleen (Rasmussen) Formo in St Cloud MN. He was a 2010 graduate of ROCORI High School. Following high school, he attended college in Ely, and later Bemidji. Most recently, Erik lived in Chisholm to be near his daughter, Stella Rose. Known for his extreme generosity and caring spirit, and always putting others before himself, Erik was known to many as their “best friend”; someone they could turn to at any time. Through the years, he struggled with depression, and on Friday, January 22, he lost his battle.

Erik is survived by the light of his life, his daughter, Stella Rose of Chisholm, his parents, Mike and Kathy of St Cloud MN, sister, Andrea of Plymouth, his special friend, Tiffany Toscano, of Chisholm, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his many, many friends who consider him family, brother and best friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon and Dorothy Formo. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials to assist in care for his daughter, Stella.
