Emma “Ruth” Campbell passed away on Sunday, November 27th. Emma Ruth Welch was born on May 19, 1922 to Nester and Emma (Lentz) Welch in Cedarvale, NM and was one of ten children. She was raised on a farm. She graduated from high school. She married King David Campbell in Estancia, NM on September 23, 1940. Emma was a bookkeeper for Home Furniture in Alamogordo, NM for most of her career. After retiring Emma Ruth and her husband moved to Princeton MN. Emma enjoyed crafts of all types, quilting and crocheting.

Emma is survived by her children, LaVerne (Ralph) Swanson of Isanti, Emma Ruth (David) Lasher of Clayton, NC, Judy (Mike) Schmidt of Port St. Lucie, FL; her siblings, Ida “Toots” Dawson of Midland, TX, Matt Welch of Cypress, TX, Minnie (Louis) Topliff of Las Cruces, NM, and Lonnie (Mary) Welch of Lawrence, KS; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David, siblings, Nett, Carl, Asa and Lee Welch; and her great-great granddaughter, Sophie.

Funeral Services will be held at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton, MN on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11 AM with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Green Lake Cemetery.
