UNDATED -- You have three extra days to file your federal taxes this year.

I-R-S spokeswoman Carrie Resch says because Emancipation Day falls on Friday, April 15th, you'll now have until Monday, April 18th to file.

Resch says also says for some taxpayers, they will need to wait until mid-February to file because of some changes made by President Obama.

Filers who itemize deductions on Schedule A, claim the Higher Education Tuition and Fees Deduction and/or those who claim the Educator Expense Deduction will have to wait a few extra weeks.

As always, Resch is encouraging everyone to e-file to cut down on mistakes and get you your return faster.
