Elsa V. Fausch, 97, Richmond

May 5, 1918 - August 5, 2015

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday August, 12, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley for Elsa V. Fausch, age 97 of Richmond, who passed away on Wednesday at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. The Rev. Heather Klason will officiate and burial will be at the Eden Lake Cemetery in Eden Valley.

Elsa was born May 5, 1918 in Isabella, MN to John and Selma (Ruuska) Kaasalainen and was adopted by the Ledeen family from Two Harbors. She married Cecil ‘Pete’ Fausch December 28, 1940 in Carlton. The couple had lived in Mora before moving to Richmond. Elsa was employed as an art needle instructor for Daytons. She knitted over 500 hats for newborns at the Paynesville Area Hospital. Elsa was a member of Kimball United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughters, Peter (Carol) Fausch of Dayton, Sandra (Larry) Krupa of Richmond and Anita (Gary) Hentges of Richmond; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil ‘Pete’ on Sep. 5, 2005; and 2 brothers.
