Elk River Woman Hurt After Being Sideswiped by a Semi
COLD SPRING -- An Elk River woman his hurt after her vehicle was forced off the road by a semi.
The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 23 and County Road 140.
The State Patrol says 60-year-old Allan Volkers, of Albany, was heading west on Highway 23 when he attempted to change lanes and forced another vehicle off the road through the center median.
35-year-old Jolene Schley, of Elk River, was the driver of the second vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Volkers was not hurt.
