Elizabeth “Liz” J. Reddie, 85, Eden Valley

August 7, 1931 - October 25, 2016

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family funeral Home in Eden Valley for Elizabeth Reddie who passed away Tuesday at her home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Sunday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Jane Reddie was born Aug. 7, 1931 in Minneapolis to Alexander & Janet (Bell) Reddie. She married Duane Smith on Sept. 2, 1951 in Iowa. Liz was a homemaker and also worked in nursing home care and horticulture. She was a member of Church of God in Eden Valley and Eden Valley American Legion Post #381 Auxiliary. Liz volunteered at the Eden Valley Watkins Schools. She liked to travel, visiting China and Scotland. Liz loved Chinese food, shopping with her daughter in law and watching her son and grandson race. She was feisty woman who was very independent. Liz lived and died exactly how she wanted, “Been there and done that, got the t-shirt”.

Survivors include her children, Sandy (John) Finke of Chokio, Craig (Judy) of Elk River, Wayne (Jill) of Atwater, Gordon of Royalton, Bradley of Murdock and Sherri (Kevin) Smith of Magnolia; 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and special friend, Elizabeth “Tiny” Theilen. Liz was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; and siblings, Margaret, Charles and Andy.
