Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Elizabeth Kiekow who was called to her heavenly home on Saturday July, 4, 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior. The Rev. Paul Cloeter and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate and burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM – 11 AM Wednesday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

Elizabeth was born in Popple Creek to William & Henrietta (Lezer) Baron. She was baptized on March 2, 1924 and confirmed on April 10, 1938 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Popple Creek. She married Robert Kiekow on May 27, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Popple Creek. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband Robert for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, crocheting, knitting, word books and her friends. Elizabeth was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids and belonged to many organizations, where she was a member and held numerous offices in the following; Trinity Golden Agers, Hospitality Guild, Sewing Guild, LWML, Parish Workers, Sauk Rapids Senior Citizens, Sauk Rapids Homemakers, Delivered Meals on Wheels, Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Volunteer, Election Judge for the City of Sauk Rapids, School Board Member, Benton County former District 29, Organized and served as Key Leader of Rapids Royals 4-H Club.

Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, Janet & John Kardell and Nancy & Robert Michael of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Jason & Gwen Kardell, Jeremy & Joylena Kardell and Julie Kleman ; great grandchildren, Christopher and Megan Kardell, Emily Kleman, Zachary and Tyler Kardell. She is also survived by her sister, Lillian Schmidt of Circle Pines and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert (June 18, 1984), brother, Walter Toffel, sisters, Marian Schaefer, Mabel Packert and Irene Studenski.
