KIMBALL - Voters in the Kimball Area school district approved an operating levy, but rejected two bond referendums today (Tuesday).

The first question revoking the current operating levy, and replacing it with a new one, passed 54 percent in favor, to 46 percent against.

The second question asked for a $5.4 million referendum for upgrades to classrooms and a fitness area. That was defeated with 54 percent voting no, and 46 percent voting yes.

The third question asked for a $6.6 million referendum to build a new auditorium. That was defeated with 64 percent voting no, and just 36 percent voting yes.
