Eleanor R. Ness, 95, St. Cloud

October 30, 1922 - December 29, 2017

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Eleanor R. Ness, age 95, of St. Cloud who passed away at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale on Friday, December 29, 2017. Reverend Doug Liebsch will officiate. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Eleanor was born on October 30, 1922 in St. Cloud to John and Theresa (Meemken) Sterling. She graduated from Tech High School. Eleanor married Vernon Ness on February 25, 1963 in Mason City, Iowa. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Ness Games and Music. Eleanor was a member of the St. Cloud V.F.W. Post #428 Auxiliary and the Waite Park American Legion Auxiliary Unit #428.

She loved crafts and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vern of St. Cloud; daughter, Ruth (Keeney) Carraher of Rogers; granddaughters, Stephanie (Cory) Sommer, Carin (Jason) Hockert-Hedeen; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Charlie Carraher; and eight brothers and sisters.
