A Kwik Trip gas station will be built into the location (200 2nd Avenue Northwest). City administrator Judy Weyrens says their building permit has been issued and that they expect construction on the site to start as soon as demolition is completed.

El Paso was well known for their fish frys, volleyball leagues and banquet hall. Their last day in business was September 26th, 2015. After 50 years with the business, Owner Carole Tamm said last year that she’s ready to spend more time relaxing with her family and volunteering.

Both Carole and Tasha Tamm said it’s sad to see the building go, but added that they were excited for something else to move into town.
