Eileen R. Stockinger, 93, Waite Park

September 21, 1921 - August 24, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, for Eileen R. Stockinger, age 93, of Waite Park, who passed away on August 24, 2015, lovingly surrounded by her family. The Reverend Timothy Gapinski will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 AM on Friday at the Church. Parish prayers will be at 4:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Eileen was born on September 21, 1921 to Daniel and Cecilia (Greiter) Fitzpatrick in Minneapolis. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1940. Eileen married Leander Stockinger on December 30, 1944 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St Cloud. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Eileen was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid Twins fan, win or lose.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Tom) Cress of Avon, Lance (Candie) of Bigfork, MN, Dan (Donna) of St. Cloud, Tim (Marcy) of Apple Valley, Mark (Jan) of St. Cloud, Ken of St. Cloud; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Millie) Fitzpatrick of Sauk Rapids; sister-in-law, Fran Fitzpatrick of Sauk Rapids and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband on February 18, 1983; grandson, Timothy Martin; brothers, James, Donald, and Robert Fitzpatrick, and sister Lucille Carlberg.
