Edwin M. Utsch, 90, St. Cloud

June 29, 1924 - November 13, 2014

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater for Edwin M. Utsch, age 90, of St. Cloud, who died Wednesday, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Rev. Dennis Backer will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church in Clearwater. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home St. Cloud.

Edwin was born June 29, 1924 to Joseph and Anna (Jaeger) Utsch in St. Martin. On April 26, 1949 Edwin married the love of his life Arlene Philippi at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. He worked as a Assembler at Franklin MFG for over 40 years until retiring in 1986. Edwin also sold and repaired televisions in his own shop. Edwin enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, playing cards, doing yard work and tinkering in his garage.

Edwin is survived by his children; Irene (Tom) Fuchs of St. Cloud, Ilene (John) Schroeder of St. Joseph, Gary (Linda) of Glenwood, Lawrence (Leisa) of Glenwood, Terry (Deborah) of Sauk Rapids, Jody (John Welker) Searcy, of Sauk Rapids, and Janelle (Tim) Kunkel, of South Haven; twenty-five grandchildren, and forty-eight great grandchildren; siblings, Elmer (Genrose) of Albany, Gene (Jeanette) of St. Martin and Anita Weyer of Waite Park.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene on May 26, 2013 and brother, Alcuin; grandson, James Michael Utsch and Granddaughter, Rebecca Marie Utsch.
