Edwin George Drews, age 93, of Princeton passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Princeton Elim Home. Edwin was born on April 9, 1922, in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, MN the son of Emil and Clara (Kuehl) Drews.
Edwin was raised on a farm and attended school in Swanville, MN. After leaving the farm, he worked in construction, specializing in Terrazzo flooring. Ed was united in marriage to Gladys Kozlowitz on October 8, 1955 in Little Falls, MN. After marriage, Edwin and Gladys lived in the Twin Cities until settling in Princeton in 1972. The road in front of his home was named “Drews Avenue” after him. Edwin enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, scrapping, working on cars, and watching Nascar.

Edwin is survived by his children, Nancy Ayinde of Minneapolis and Yale and David Drews of Princeton; brother Norman of Blaine; special niece Carol Berndt of St. Francis and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys; parents; 2 sisters and 8 brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Friday, October 9, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5-7PM at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton, as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in West Branch Cemetery, Princeton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.
